Code Of Conduct

HNC Clothing takes its responsibility as a clothing manufacturer seriously. We have therefore formulated a ‘Code of Conduct’ and are committed to acknowledge the social and environmental standards laid down in this Code and to take appropriate measures within our company policy for their implementation and compliance.

  1. Legal compliance :
  2. HNC Clothing follows all National laws, regulations and industry minimum standards in all of their activities.

  3. Prohibition of Child Labor :
  4. Child labour is forbidden as defined by ILO and United Nations Conventions and/or by national law. HNC Clothing does not employ any child or young workers under the age of 18.

  5. Working Hours :
  6. In HNC Clothing, the maximum allowable working hours in a week does not exceed 45 hours and the maximum allowable overtime hours in a week does not exceed 12 hours. The employees have one free day following six consecutive days worked. HNC Clothing complies with national laws and industry standards regarding overtime, rest days and public holidays.

  7. Prohibition of Discrimination :

In HNC Clothing, no discrimination shall be tolerated in hiring, remuneration, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement based on gender, age, religion, race, caste, birth, social background, disability, ethnic and national origin, nationality, political affiliation or opinions, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, marital status, or any other condition that could give rise to discrimination.

  9. Wage and Compenstation :
  10. In HNC Clothing, wages are paid for regular working hours and overtime hours which meet legal minimums and industry standards. Illegal, unauthorised or disciplinary deductions from wages are not made. HNC Clothing pays compensation required by local laws.

  11. Prohibition of Forced Labour and Disciplinary Measures
  12. HNC Clothing treats all the employee/personnel with respect. All forms of forced Labour are forbidden. Personnel have the right to leave the factory after completing the standard workday, and are free to terminate their employment provided that they give reasonable notice to management. HNC Clothing does not engage in or tolerate the use of corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion and verbal abuse of personnel.

  13. Workplace Health and Safety :
  14. HNC Clothing provides a safe and healthy workplace environment and takes effective steps to prevent potential accidents and injury. A clear set of regulations and procedures are established and followed regarding occupational health and safety, especially the provision and use of personal protective equipment. HNC Clothing factory has clearly marked exits which have doors opening outwards.

  15. Environment :
  16. HNC Clothing follows procedures stated by local laws and industry standards for waste management, handling and disposure of chemicals and other dangerous materials, emissions and effluent treatment .

  17. Management Systems :

HNC Clothing defines and implements a policy for social accountability, a management system to ensure that the requirements of the BSCI Code of Conduct can be met. Management is responsible for the correct implementation and continuous improvement by taking corrective measures and periodical review of the Code of Conduct, as well as the communication of the requirements of the Code of Conduct to all employees.
